Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 9152

Sayyiduna Ubadah bin al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Soon after me there will be rulers who will command you to do things that you regard as right, while they themselves will do things that you regard as wrong; they will not be your leaders."
This narration has been recorded by Imam al-Tabarani. Its chain contains one narrator, al-A'sha bin Abd al-Rahman, and I do not know him; the remaining narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).
