وَعَنْ سَالِمٍ أَنَّهُ وَفَدَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَهُوَ غُلَامٌ حَدَثٌ فَسَمَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الرَّسُولُ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَدَعَا لَهُ ، وَتَطَهَّرَ مِنْ فَضْلِ وَضُوئِهِ ، وَذَلِكَ الْيَوْمُ عَلَيْهِ ذُؤَابَةٌ وَقَدْ بَلَغَ أَوْ قَارَبَ يَبْلُغُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ جَمَاعَةٌ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .

Sayyiduna Salim (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with a delegation while he was a young boy. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) invoked blessings upon him and supplicated for him, and he performed ablution with the water left over from the ablution of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). In those days his hair was long, and he had reached puberty or was close to reaching it.
