وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ : كَانَ لِأَبِي قَتَادَةَ جُمَّةٌ ، فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : " أَكْرِمْهَا وَادَّهِنْهَا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ مِنْ رِوَايَةِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ عَنِ الْحِجَازِيِّينَ ، وَهِيَ ضَعِيفَةٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ مِنْ رِوَايَةِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ عَنِ الْحِجَازِيِّينَ ، وَهِيَ ضَعِيفَةٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) had long hair. He asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about it, and he said: "Honour it and oil it."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat as a narration of Isma'il bin Ayyash from the people of Hijaz,
and this narration is da'if (weak); the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
