وَعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سَلْمَانَ مَوْلَى كَعْبِ بْنِ عَجُرَةَ قَالَ : أَشْهَدُ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ أَرْبَعَةً أَوْ خَمْسَةً مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَلْبَسُونَ الْمُعَصْفَرَ فِيهِمْ كَعْبُ بْنُ عَجُرَةَ . وَأَنَسٌ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ .
Anas bin Salman, the freed slave of Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him), said: I bear witness that I saw four (the narrator is unsure; perhaps the words were:) five Companions wearing safflower-dyed (mu'asfar) garments; among them was Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him). (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I do not know this narrator Anas.
