وَعَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ : رُبَّمَا صَبَغَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - رِدَاءَهُ أَوْ إِزَارَهُ بِوَرْسٍ أَوْ بِزَعْفَرَانٍ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فِيهِمَا .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ الْكَلَامُ عَلَيْهِ فِي بَابِ الصِّبَاغِ .

Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Sometimes the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would dye his wrap or his lower garment with saffron or wars, and then go out wearing them.
