عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " يَظْهَرُ الدِّينُ حَتَّى يُجَاوِزَ التُّجَّارُ ، وَتُخَاضَ الْبِحَارُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، ثُمَّ يَأْتِي مِنْ بَعْدِكُمْ أَقْوَامٌ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ ، يَقُولُونَ : قَدْ قَرَأْنَا الْقُرْآنَ ، مَنْ أَقْرَأُ مِنَّا ؟ وَمَنْ أَفْقَهُ مِنَّا ؟ وَمَنْ أَعْلَمُ مِنَّا ؟ " ثُمَّ الْتَفَتَ إِلَى أَصْحَابِهِ ، فَقَالَ : " هَلْ فِي أُولَئِكَ مِنْ خَيْرٍ ؟ " قَالُوا : لَا . قَالَ : " أُولَئِكَ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ ، وَأُولَئِكَ هُمْ وَقُودُ النَّارِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى وَالْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ مُوسَى بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ الرَّبَذِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى وَالْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ مُوسَى بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ الرَّبَذِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna al-Abbas bin Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The religion will prevail, until the traders go (to distant lands) and the seas are travelled in the path of Allah. Then after you there will come people who will learn the Qur'an, and then they will say: Who knows the Qur'an better than us? Who has more understanding than us? Who has more knowledge than us?" Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned to his Companions and said: "Will there be any good in those people?" The people said: No! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those people will be from among you (that is, from this Ummah), and they will be the fuel of the Fire."
