Sayyiduna Umarah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of the Conquest of Makkah so that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would take his pledge of allegiance. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw khaluq on his hand, so he drew his hand back from him. A man said to him: "May your mother lose you! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drew his blessed hand back from you because there is khaluq on it." So he washed his hand, then he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took his pledge.
Al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Hurayth bin Matar, who is matruk (abandoned).
