Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 8694

Usayd bin Abi Usayd narrates from (the son of) Abu Musa, from his father, or from Ibn Abi Qatadah, from his father, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever would like to put a ring of fire on his beloved, let him put a bangle of gold on her; and whoever would like to put a bracelet of fire on his beloved, let him put a bracelet of gold on her. But as for silver, you may use it."
Ahmad recorded it. This narrator Usayd has narrated from Musa bin Abi Musa al-Ash'ari and Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah; if these two are the ones left unnamed here, the hadith is hasan (good), and if someone other than them is meant, I do not know them.
