وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يَلْبَسْ حَرِيرًا وَلَا ذَهَبًا " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever believes in Allah Almighty and the Last Day should not wear silk or gold."
