وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : " مَنْ لَبِسَ ثَوْبَ حَرِيرٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا أَلْبَسَهُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ثَوْبَ مَذَلَّةٍ مِنْ نَارٍ - أَوْ ثَوْبًا مِنَ النَّارِ - " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ جَابِرٌ الْجُعْفِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ .

In one narration the wording is: "Whoever wears garments of silk in this world, Allah Almighty will clothe him on the Day of Resurrection in a garment of humiliation made of fire" (the narrator is unsure; perhaps the words are:) "will clothe him in a garment made of fire."
Imam Ahmad and Imam al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Jabir al-Ju'fi, who is da'if (weak), though he has also been declared trustworthy.
