وَعَنْ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ مَخْلَدٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " أَعْرُوا النِّسَاءَ يَلْزَمْنَ الْحِجَالَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ مَجْمَعُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ مَجْمَعُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Maslamah bin Makhlad (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not provide women with (outdoor) clothing; they will stay in their homes."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Majma' bin Ka'b, and I do not know him. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
