Uthman bin Muhammad bin Qays says: My father saw in my hand a whip that had no hanger ('alaqah, the part by which it is hung). He said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to a man: "Keep the hanger of your whip fine, for Allah Almighty is Beautiful and loves beauty."
