It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever drags his garment on the ground (letting it hang down out of arrogance), Allah Almighty will not look at him with mercy." Sayyiduna Abu Rayhanah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "What you have told us, by Allah, has made us ill! By Allah, I love beauty, so much so that I want fineness even in the strap of my sandal and the hanger of my stick. Is that part of arrogance?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty is Beautiful and loves beauty, and He loves to see the trace of His blessing upon His servant. But arrogance is that a person turns away from the truth and looks down on people."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Musa bin Isa al-Dimashqi; Imam al-Dhahabi says: he is majhul (unknown). The remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.
