وَعَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَشْعَثَ أَغْبَرَ فِي هَيْئَةِ أَعْرَابِيٍّ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : " مَا لَكَ مِنَ الْمَالِ ؟ " فَقَالَ : مِنْ كُلِّ الْمَالِ قَدْ آتَانِي اللَّهُ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - فَقَالَ : " إِذَا أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَى الْعَبْدِ نِعْمَةً أَحَبَّ أَنْ تُرَى عَلَيْهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Abu al-Ahwas reports about his father that he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the appearance of a Bedouin, with dishevelled, dust-covered hair. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Do you have wealth?" He said: "Allah Almighty has given me every kind of wealth." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty grants a servant a blessing, He loves that the blessing also be seen upon him."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
