وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " ائْتَزِرُوا كَمَا رَأَيْتُ الْمَلَائِكَةَ تَأْتَزِرُ " . قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ رَأَيْتَ ؟ قَالَ : " إِلَى أَنْصَافِ سُوقِهَا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ الْمُثَنَّى بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ أَحْمَدُ وَجُمْهُورُ الْأَئِمَّةِ ، حَتَّى قِيلَ : إِنَّهُ مَتْرُوكٌ . وَيَحْيَى بْنُ السَّكَنِ ضَعِيفٌ جِدًّا .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ الْمُثَنَّى بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ أَحْمَدُ وَجُمْهُورُ الْأَئِمَّةِ ، حَتَّى قِيلَ : إِنَّهُ مَتْرُوكٌ . وَيَحْيَى بْنُ السَّكَنِ ضَعِيفٌ جِدًّا .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Tie your waist-wrappers the way I have seen the angels tie theirs." The people said: "O Messenger of Allah! How did you see (them)?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "To the middle of their shins (their waist-wrappers reach)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains al-Muthanna bin al-Sabbah, whom Yahya bin Ma'in declared thiqah (trustworthy); Imam Ahmad and the majority of the Imams declared him da'if (weak), so much so that it has been said he is matruk (abandoned). And the narrator named Yahya bin al-Sakan is extremely da'if (weak).
