Majma al-Zawaid 8487 — One who goes to a soothsayer or fortune-teller

Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He will not attain the high ranks who practises soothsaying, or seeks divination with arrows, or turns back from a journey because of an omen (or ill omen)."
