بَابُ فِيمَنْ يُعَلِّقُ تَمِيمَةً أَوْ نَحْوَهَا

وَعَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَبْصَرَ عَلَى عَضُدِ رَجُلٍ حَلْقَةً - أَرَاهُ قَالَ - : مِنْ صُفْرٍ ، قَالَ :
" وَيْحَكَ مَا هَذِهِ ؟ " قَالَ : مِنَ الْوَاهِنَةِ ، قَالَ : أَمَا إِنَّهَا لَا تَزِيدُكُ إِلَّا وَهَنًا ، انْبِذْهَا عَنْكَ ، فَإِنَّكَ لَوْ مُتَّ وَهِيَ عَلَيْكَ مَا أَفْلَحْتَ أَبَدًا " .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَهْ بِاخْتِصَارٍ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَقَالَ : " إِنْ مُتَّ وَهِيَ عَلَيْكَ وُكِلْتَ إِلَيْهَا " . قَالَ : وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ مَوْقُوفَةٍ : انْبِذْهَا عَنْكَ ، فَإِنَّكَ لَوْ مُتَّ وَأَنْتَ تَرَى أَنَّهَا تَنْفَعُكَ لَمُتَّ عَلَى غَيْرِ الْفِطْرَةِ .
وَفِيهِ مُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
" وَيْحَكَ مَا هَذِهِ ؟ " قَالَ : مِنَ الْوَاهِنَةِ ، قَالَ : أَمَا إِنَّهَا لَا تَزِيدُكُ إِلَّا وَهَنًا ، انْبِذْهَا عَنْكَ ، فَإِنَّكَ لَوْ مُتَّ وَهِيَ عَلَيْكَ مَا أَفْلَحْتَ أَبَدًا " .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَهْ بِاخْتِصَارٍ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَقَالَ : " إِنْ مُتَّ وَهِيَ عَلَيْكَ وُكِلْتَ إِلَيْهَا " . قَالَ : وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ مَوْقُوفَةٍ : انْبِذْهَا عَنْكَ ، فَإِنَّكَ لَوْ مُتَّ وَأَنْتَ تَرَى أَنَّهَا تَنْفَعُكَ لَمُتَّ عَلَى غَيْرِ الْفِطْرَةِ .
وَفِيهِ مُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a ring on a man's upper arm. The narrator says: I think the narration has these words: that ring was made of brass. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Woe to you, what is this for?" He said: "It is to remove weakness." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It will only increase you in weakness. Throw it away from yourself! For if you were to die while it is on you, you would never succeed." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
Imam Ibn Majah recorded it in abridged form.
Imam Ahmad and Imam al-Tabarani recorded it. He recorded these words: "If you die while it is on you, you will be left to it." The narrator says: A mawquf narration has these words: "Throw it away from yourself! For if you were to die while believing that it benefits you, you would die upon other than the fitrah (that is, the religion of Islam)." Its chain contains Mubarak bin Fadalah, who is thiqah (trustworthy), yet there is weakness in him. The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
Imam Ibn Majah recorded it in abridged form.
