وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - :
" عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْإِثْمِدِ ، فَإِنَّهُ مَنْبَتَةٌ لِلشِّعْرِ ، مَذْهَبَةٌ لِلْقَذَى ، مِصْفَاةٌ لِلْبَصَرِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَوْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ ، ذَكَرَهُ ابْنُ أَبِي حَاتِمٍ ، وَرَوَى عَنْهُ جَمَاعَةٌ ، وَلَمْ يَجْرَحْهُ أَحَدٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .

رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَوْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ ، ذَكَرَهُ ابْنُ أَبِي حَاتِمٍ ، وَرَوَى عَنْهُ جَمَاعَةٌ ، وَلَمْ يَجْرَحْهُ أَحَدٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Hold fast to using ithmid, for it makes the hair grow, removes dirt (from the eye), and clears the eyesight."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Awn bin Muhammad bin al-Hanafiyyah, whom Ibn Abi Hatim mentioned; a group narrated from him and no one criticised him. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Awn bin Muhammad bin al-Hanafiyyah, whom Ibn Abi Hatim mentioned; a group narrated from him and no one criticised him. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
