عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " خَيْرُ أَكْحَالِكُمُ الْإِثْمِدُ ، يُنْبِتُ الشَّعْرَ ، وَيَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best of your kohls is ithmid, which makes the hair grow and sharpens the eyesight."
