Sayyidah Asma' bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) relates: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a dream. I saw him saying: O Asma'! Is the Qur'an being altered? I said: May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, it is so; there is alteration happening, and there is also what is sound. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) repeated this to me several times, and each time I said the same: May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, it is so; there is alteration happening, and there is also what is sound. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) asked me: How are your children? I said: O Messenger of Allah! They are suffering from severe constriction. Then I saw him look toward one of his wives; perhaps it was Hafsah bint Umar. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Give her a remedy for her children; as for al-sam (death), no cure can be given for it. Then she showed it to me: that woman gave me a black seed like shuniz (black cumin) or like a leek seed, and red earth, and a string of pearls. The woman (narrator) relates: Whenever any of the children of Sayyidah Asma' (may Allah be pleased with her) fell ill, they would put all these things in a cup and fill it, then put red earth in it, along with leek seed, shuniz and a string of pearls, and then pour that water over (the sick person).
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Yahya bin Urwah, who is da'if (weak).
