بَابُ لَا تُكْرِهُوا مَرْضَاكُمْ عَلَى الطَّعَامِ
Do not force your sick to eat

عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَا تُكْرِهُوا مَرْضَاكُمْ عَلَى الطَّعَامِ ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يُطْعِمُهُمْ وَيَسْقِيهِمْ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ وَلَا مَنْ رَوَى عَنْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ وَلَا مَنْ رَوَى عَنْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not force your sick to eat! Indeed, Allah Almighty feeds them and gives them drink."
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains al-Walid bin Abd al-Rahman bin Awf, whom I do not know, nor do I know the one who narrated from him. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
