Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 8289

Abu Wa'il relates: A man among us fell ill, and something intoxicating was prescribed for him (as medicine). We came to Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked him about it, and he said: Indeed, Allah Almighty has not placed your cure in what He has made unlawful for you.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
