Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 8236

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَا : يُكَرَهُ أَنْ يُشْرَبَ مِنْ ثُلْمَةِ الْقَدَحِ وَأُذُنِ الْقَدَحِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) say: It is disliked (makruh) to drink from the chipped (or broken) part of a cup, or from the handle of a cup.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
