وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ شَرِبَ شَرَابًا حَتَّى يَذْهَبَ عَقْلُهُ الَّذِي أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ ، فَقَدْ أَتَى بَابًا مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْكَبَائِرِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ حُسَيْنُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ الرَّحَبِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever drinks a drink until the intellect that Allah Almighty gave him departs, that person has committed one of the major sins."
Abu Ya'la and al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Husayn bin Qays al-Rahabi, and he is da'if (weak).
