Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 8183

Abu Tamim al-Jayshani narrates that he heard Sayyiduna Qays bin Sa'd bin Ubadah al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), who was the governor of Egypt, say: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me, let him be ready to reach a bed of the Fire (the narrator is unsure; perhaps the words are:) let him be ready to reach a house in Hell." And I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever drinks wine will come thirsty on the Day of Resurrection. Beware! Every intoxicant is khamr (wine), and keep away from al-Ghubayra' (a kind of liquor)." The narrator said: After that I heard Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) also narrating the like of it; the only difference between the two of them was over the words "house" and "bed".
Ahmad recorded it, and Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains a narrator who is not named.
