Yahya bin Ghassan narrates from his father: My father was in the delegation of the tribe of Abd al-Qays that came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade them these vessels. The narrator says: Then we went back. Then when we came to him the following year, we said: "O Messenger of Allah! You forbade us these vessels, so we went back." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Prepare nabidh in whatever (vessel) seems suitable to you, but do not drink anything intoxicating; and whoever wishes may tie the mouth of his waterskin over sin."
Ahmad recorded it.
