Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Jabir al-Abdi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I was in the delegation from the tribe of Abd al-Qays who came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The narrator says: Or perhaps I was not among them; I was with my father. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade them (preparing) drink in vessels; these are the vessels you have heard about, namely the dubba, the hantam, the naqir and the muzaffat.
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
