In one narration it is reported: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went out to the Mirbad, and I went out with him. I was on his right. Meanwhile Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived, so I moved back for him; he came to the right of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and I moved to the left of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Then Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived, so I moved back for him, and he went to the left of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to the Mirbad, and there were some waterskins there containing wine. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent for a knife from me. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: It was only on that day that I came to know the word mudyah (that it is used for a knife). Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the order concerning the waterskins, and they were slit open. After this, the narrator mentioned the complete hadith. Ahmad recorded all these narrations with two chains: one chain contains a narrator, Abu Bakr bin Abi Maryam, whose memory became confused (ikhtilat), and the other chain contains a narrator, Abu Tu'mah, whom Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Ammar al-Mawsili declared thiqah (trustworthy) and Makhul declared da'if (weak). The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
