وَعَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِنْ كَانَ لِمِنْ أَوَّلِ مَا عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ فِيهِ رَبِّيَ وَنَهَانِي عَنْهُ بَعْدَ عِبَادَةِ الْأَوْثَانِ ، وَشُرْبِ الْخَمْرِ لِمُلَاحَاةُ الرِّجَالِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ يَحْيَى بْنُ الْمُتَوَكِّلِ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ عِنْدَ الْجُمْهُورِ ، وَنُقِلَ عَنِ ابْنِ مَعِينٍ تَوْثِيقُهُ فِي رِوَايَةٍ ، وَقَالَ فِي الْأُخْرَى : لَيْسَ بِشَيْءٍ .

Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, among the first things my Lord enjoined upon me and forbade me, after the worship of idols and the drinking of wine, was people quarrelling with one another."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Yahya bin al-Mutawakkil, who is da'if (weak) according to the majority. In one report, Yahya bin Ma'in is quoted as declaring him trustworthy, and according to the other report he said: "He is nothing (laysa bi-shay')."
