وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : لَمَّا حُرِّمَتِ الْخَمْرُ مَشَى أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ وَقَالُوا : حُرِّمَتِ الْخَمْرُ وَجُعِلَتْ عِدْلًا لِلشِّرْكِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: When wine was forbidden, the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to one another and said: "Wine has been forbidden, and it has been declared equal to committing shirk (associating partners with Allah)."
