وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الْأَهْلِيَّةِ ، وَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بِلُحُومِ الْخَيْلِ أَنْ تُؤْكَلَ .
قُلْتُ : لَهُ فِي الصَّحِيحِ : النَّهْيُ عَنِ الْحُمُرِ الْأَهْلِيَّةِ مِنْ غَيْرِ إِذْنٍ فِي لُحُومِ الْخَيْلِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، خَلَا مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade eating the meat of domestic donkeys, and he ordered regarding the meat of horses that it may be eaten. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: It is mentioned in the Sahih from this Companion that eating the meat of domestic donkeys was forbidden, without any mention of permission regarding the meat of horses.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. The narrators of both are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Muhammad bin Ubayd al-Muharibi, who is thiqah (trustworthy).
