وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ : أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بِأَكْلِ الثُّومِ وَقَالَ : " لَوْلَا أَنَّ الْمَلَكَ يَنْزِلُ عَلَيَّ لَأَكَلْتُهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ حَبَّةُ بْنُ جُوَيْنٍ الْعَرَنِيُّ ، وَقَدْ ضَعَّفَهُ الْجُمْهُورُ ، وَوَثَّقَهُ الْعِجْلِيُّ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ حَبَّةُ بْنُ جُوَيْنٍ الْعَرَنِيُّ ، وَقَدْ ضَعَّفَهُ الْجُمْهُورُ ، وَوَثَّقَهُ الْعِجْلِيُّ .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered us to eat garlic and said: "Were it not that the angel descends upon me, I would have eaten it too."
Al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani (in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat) recorded it. Its chain contains Habbah bin Juwayn al-Urani, whom the majority declared da'if (weak), while al-Ijli declared him thiqah (trustworthy).
