عَنْ سَلْمَانَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مِنْ أَكَلَ الطِّينَ فَكَأَنَّمَا أَعَانَ عَلَى قَتْلِ نَفْسِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ يَحْيَى بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْأَهْوَازِيُّ جَهَّلَهُ الذَّهَبِيُّ مِنْ قِبَلِ نَفْسِهِ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ يَحْيَى بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْأَهْوَازِيُّ جَهَّلَهُ الذَّهَبِيُّ مِنْ قِبَلِ نَفْسِهِ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever eats clay, it is as though he helps in killing himself."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Yahya bin Yazid al-Ahwazi, whom al-Dhahabi declared majhul (unknown) on his own judgment; the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
