وَعَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَتْ : سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَنِ الْجُبْنِ قَالَ : " اقْطَعْ بِالسِّكِّينِ وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ وَكُلْ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْفَرْحِ الْحِجَازِيُّ ، ضَعَّفَهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ ، وَابْنُ عَدِيٍّ ، وَوَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ أَبِي حَاتِمٍ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْفَرْحِ الْحِجَازِيُّ ، ضَعَّفَهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ ، وَابْنُ عَدِيٍّ ، وَوَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ أَبِي حَاتِمٍ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), the honoured wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about cheese, and he said: "Cut it with a knife, mention the name of Allah and eat."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Ahmad bin al-Farh al-Hijazi, whom Muhammad bin Awf and Ibn Adi declared da'if (weak), while Ibn Abi Hatim declared him thiqah (trustworthy). The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
