وَعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ وَفْدَ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ قَدِمُوا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَبَيْنَا هُمْ عِنْدَهُ قُعُودٌ ، إِذْ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ : " تَمْرَةٌ تَدْعُونَهَا كَذَا وَكَذَا وَتَمْرَةٌ تَدْعُونَهَا كَذَا " حَتَّى عَدَّ أَلْوَانَ تَمَرَاتِهِمْ أَجْمَعَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ : بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَمَا وَاللَّهِ لَوْ كُنْتَ وُلِدْتَ فِي جَوْفِ هَجَرٍ مَا كُنْتَ أَعْلَمَ مِنْكَ السَّاعَةَ ؟ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّ أَرْضَكُمْ رُفِعَتْ لِي مُنْذُ قَعَدْتُمْ إِلَيَّ فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهَا مِنْ أَدْنَاهَا إِلَى أَقْصَاهَا ، فَخَيْرُ تَمْرَاتِكُمُ الْبَرْنِيُّ يُذْهِبُ الدَّاءَ وَلَا دَاءَ فِيهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عُبَيْدُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ الْقَيْسِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The delegation of the Abd al-Qays tribe came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). They were sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Meanwhile, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned towards them and said to them: There is a kind of date that you call such-and-such, and a kind of date that you call such-and-such, until the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had counted all the kinds of their dates. A man among those present said to him: "O Messenger of Allah! May my father and mother be sacrificed for you! Although I was born in the heart of the region of Hajar, I do not, even now, know more than you about these kinds of dates. I bear witness that you are the Messenger of Allah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you came and sat with me, your land was presented before me, and I looked at it from its nearest part to its farthest. The best of your dates is the Barni, which drives away disease and has no disease in it."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Ubayd bin Waqid al-Qaysi, and he is da'if (weak).
