Majma al-Zawaid 7976 — Honouring bread and eating what falls

Sayyiduna Abu Sukaynah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Honour bread, for Allah Almighty has honoured it. Whoever honours bread, Allah Almighty honours him."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Khalaf bin Yahya, the judge of Rayy, and he is da'if (weak); and a narrator, Abu Sukaynah, about whom Ibn al-Madini says: He does not have the honour of being a Companion.
