Sayyiduna al-Bara' bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate: On the day of Ghadir Khumm we were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and we were moving the branches of the tree away from his head. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, charity is not lawful for me or for the people of my household. May Allah curse the one who attributes himself to someone other than his father, and may Allah also curse the one who attributes himself to someone other than the master who freed him. The child belongs to the owner of the bed, and for the fornicator there is deprivation. And there is no bequest for an heir."
Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Musa bin Uthman al-Hadrami, and he is da'if (weak).
