The words of divorce
Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 7778

وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : إِنْ كَانَ نَوَى طَلَاقًا ، وَإِلَّا فَهِيَ يَمِينٌ .
رَوَاهَا كُلَّهَا الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ إِلَّا أَنَّ مُجَاهِدًا لَمْ يُدْرِكِ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ .
رَوَاهَا كُلَّهَا الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ إِلَّا أَنَّ مُجَاهِدًا لَمْ يُدْرِكِ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ .
In one narration the words are: "If he intended divorce, then it will be so; otherwise it counts as an oath." Al-Tabarani recorded all of these narrations. Its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy), except that the narrator Mujahid did not live in the time of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him).
