وَعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ : دَخَلْتُ دَارَ طَلْحَةَ ، وَهُوَ مُغْلِقٌ الْبَابَ عَلَى أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ ، وَهُوَ يَضْرِبُهَا وَهِيَ أُمُّ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ فَنَادَيْتُ مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْبَابِ : مَا تُرِيدُ إِلَى هَذِهِ الْعَجُوزِ تَضْرِبُهَا ؟ فَنَادَتْنِي مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْبَابِ فَقَالَتْ لِي : تَقُولُ الْعَجُوزُ عَجَّزَ اللَّهُ رُكَبَكَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَوَّاتِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَوَّاتِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I entered the house of Sayyiduna Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him); its door was shut, Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) was inside, and Sayyiduna Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) was beating her. Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) was the mother of Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I called out from behind the door: "Why are you beating this old woman?" Then Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) called out to me from the other side of the door: "You called me old? May Allah Almighty make your knees feeble!"
Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Khawwat bin Shu'bah, whom I do not know. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
