وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْغَيْرَةُ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ وَالْمِذَاءُ مِنَ النِّفَاقِ " قَالَ : قُلْتُ : مَا الْمِذَاءُ ؟ قَالَ : " الَّذِي لَا يَغَارُ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو مَرْجُومٍ وَثَّقَهُ النَّسَائِيُّ ، وَغَيْرُهُ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Protective jealousy (ghayrah) is part of faith, and midha' is part of hypocrisy." The narrator says: I asked: "What is meant by midha'?" He replied: "The person who feels no protective jealousy."
Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abu Marjum, whom Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), while Yahya bin Ma'in declared him da'if (weak). The remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.
