Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are seven things whose reward continues for a person after his death while he is in his grave: one who teaches some knowledge, or has a canal dug, or has a well dug, or plants trees, or builds a mosque, or leaves a copy of the Qur'an as inheritance, or leaves behind a child who keeps seeking forgiveness for him after his death."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains Muhammad bin Ubaydullah al-Arzami, who is da'if (weak).
