Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one who guides to good is like the one who does it."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Imran bin Muhammad, who narrates from Abu Hazim, and from whom Abdullah bin Muhammad bin A'ishah narrates. He is not Imran bin Muhammad bin Sa'id bin al-Musayyab, because that one is from Madinah. Al-Tabarani said about this narrator: He is from Basrah. Ibn Sa'id did not hear from Abu Hazim, and I have not found anyone who mentions this narrator.
