وَعَنْ رَجُلٍ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَمُرَةَ يَخْطُبُ عَلَى مِنْبَرِ الْبَصْرَةِ ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ خُلِقَتْ مِنْ ضِلَعٍ ، وَإِنَّكَ إِنْ تُرِدْ إِقَامَةَ الضِّلَعِ تَكْسِرْهُ فَدَارِهَا تَعِشْ بِهَا " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالْبَزَّارُ بِإِسْنَادَيْنِ ، وَرِجَالُ أَحَدِهِمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ وَسُمِّي الرَّجُلُ أَبَا رَجَاءٍ الْعُطَارِدِيَّ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِ أَحْمَدَ رَجُلٌ لَمْ يُسَمَّ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ مَسَاتِيرُ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَعْرِفْ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالْبَزَّارُ بِإِسْنَادَيْنِ ، وَرِجَالُ أَحَدِهِمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ وَسُمِّي الرَّجُلُ أَبَا رَجَاءٍ الْعُطَارِدِيَّ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِ أَحْمَدَ رَجُلٌ لَمْ يُسَمَّ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ مَسَاتِيرُ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَعْرِفْ .
A man narrates: I heard Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him), while delivering a sermon in Basrah, saying: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Woman was created from a rib. If you try to straighten the rib, you will break it. So treat her gently, and (in this way) you will be able to live with her."
Ahmad and al-Bazzar recorded it with two chains. The narrators of one of them are the narrators of the Sahih, and in one of them the man is named as Abu Raja' al-Utaridi. Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. In Ahmad's chain there is a narrator who is not named, and the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih. In al-Tabarani's chain there are mastur (concealed-status) narrators and narrators who could not be identified.
