وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ الْيَهُودَ كَانَتْ تَقُولُ : إِنَّ الْعَزْلَ هُوَ الْمَوْءُودَةُ الصُّغْرَى . فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : " كَذَبَتْ يَهُودُ لَوْ أَرَادَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَخْلُقَ خَلْقًا لَمْ يَمْنَعْهُ - أَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ - شَيْءٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ خَلَا إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Jews used to say that 'azl is a minor form of burying alive. This reached the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: The Jews have lied. If Allah Almighty wills to create something, nothing can prevent Him (the narrator is unsure about one word here).
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih except Isma'il bin Mas'ud, who is thiqah (trustworthy).
