وَعَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ : لَوْ أَخَذَ اللَّهُ الْمِيثَاقَ عَلَى نَسَمَةٍ فِي صُلْبِ رَجُلٍ ، ثُمَّ أَخْرَجَهُ عَلَى الصَّفَا لَأَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الصَّفَا ، فَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَتِمَّ ، وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَلَا تَعْزِلْ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ رَجُلٌ ضَعِيفٌ لَمْ أُسَمِّهِ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: If Allah Almighty has taken the covenant from a soul in a man's loins, then even if the man were to cast that sperm-drop onto a rock, Allah Almighty would bring it forth from that rock. So if you wish, complete (the act), and if you wish, do not practise 'azl.
