عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ : أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنْ لَا آتِيَ أَهْلِي فِي غُرَّةِ الْهِلَالِ ، وَأَنْ لَا أَتَوَضَّأَ مِنَ النُّحَاسِ ، وَأَنْ أَسْتَنَّ كُلَمَّا قُمْتُ مِنْ سِنَتِي .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عُبَيْدَةُ بْنُ حَسَّانٍ ، وَهُوَ مُنْكَرُ الْحَدِيثِ .

Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded me not to have intercourse with my wife in the first days of the month, not to perform ablution (wudu) from a brass vessel, and to use the tooth-stick (miswak) whenever I wake from sleep.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Ubaydah bin Hassan, who is munkar al-hadith (his narrations are rejected).
