بَابُ الْكَفَاءَةِ .

Majma al-Zawaid 7448 — Compatibility in marriage (kafa'ah)
وَلَهُ فِي الْكَبِيرِ : نُفَضِّلُكُمْ بِفَضْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَعْنِي الْعَرَبَ - لَا نَنْكِحُ نِسَاءَكُمْ .
وَرِجَالُ الْكَبِيرِ ثِقَاتٌ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِ الْأَوْسَطِ السَّرِيُّ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
وَرِجَالُ الْكَبِيرِ ثِقَاتٌ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِ الْأَوْسَطِ السَّرِيُّ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
In al-Mu'jam al-Kabir it is reported from this Companion: "We give you (that is, the Arabs) precedence because of the excellence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." Sayyiduna Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) meant the Arabs. (He said:) "We will not marry your women." The narrators of al-Mu'jam al-Kabir are thiqat (trustworthy), and the chain of al-Mu'jam al-Awsat contains al-Sari bin Isma'il, who is matruk (abandoned).
