Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 7443

Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Abza (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Dawud (peace be upon him) said: "Be to the orphan like a merciful father, and know that as you sow, so shall you reap. The likeness of a righteous woman to her husband is that of a king wearing a crown adorned with gold: whenever he sees her, his eyes are cooled by her. And the likeness of a bad woman to her husband is that of a heavy load placed upon an old man." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) Then he mentioned the whole hadith; it will come in full in the chapter on admonitions (Mawa'iz).
At-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
