بَابُ نِكَاحِ الْمُتْعَةِ .

وَعَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ : وَإِنَّمَا كَانَتْ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَلَمَّا نَزَلَ النِّكَاحُ وَالطَّلَاقُ وَالْعِدَّةُ وَالْمِيرَاثُ نُهِيَ عَنْهَا .
قُلْتُ : فِي الصَّحِيحِ طَرَفٌ مِنْ أَوَّلِهِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَحَدِيثُهُ حَسَنٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
قُلْتُ : فِي الصَّحِيحِ طَرَفٌ مِنْ أَوَّلِهِ .

Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) states: This ruling was for one who could not find the means; but when the rulings on marriage, divorce, the waiting period ('iddah) and inheritance came down, it was forbidden. (Allamah Haythami says:) I say: Part of its beginning is recorded in the "Sahih".
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Ibn Lahi'ah, whose hadith is hasan (good), and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
