It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him); the narrator Ahmad bin Ishaq reported it as a "marfu'" hadith (attributed to the Prophet): (The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:) "A woman should not be married in addition to her paternal aunt or her maternal aunt, and a woman should not ask for her sister to be divorced so that she may take for herself what comes into her bowl."
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and he said: We know of this narration as being from Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) only through this chain.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain is broken (munqati') between al-Minhal bin Khalifah and Amr bin al-Harith bin Abi Dirar, and the narrators of both narrations are thiqat (trustworthy).
